IT's Continuation of Adapting to the Hybrid Workplace

Updated: Jan 12, 2021

Interesting article by Galen Gruman of Computerworld shedding light on the successes the IT world and its users have had while the shift to remote work from home movement became the norm. It states, "IT and users alike adapted quickly, and companies were able to keep doing business relatively easily given the scope of the change. What’s more, employee productivity actually went up — and stayed that way even after the initial adrenaline surge wore off".

The work is NOT done by any means according to Gruman and we agree! "The implications for IT are many: extended support desk hours; remote-support and remote-management tools; work-specific user training; cloud enablement of all software possible; appropriate security for distributed work..." and the list goes on.
